The Promised Neverland is a dark fantasy, thriller anime series that debuted in 2019. Based on the manga of the same name by Kaiu Shirai, the television series is set in the year 2045 and follows a group of orphaned children in their attempt to escape from an orphanage, uncovering dark truths about their existence in the process.

Making / Production

The anime was produced by Aniplex, with Kaiu Shirai involved in the production. Mamoru Kanbe directed the series, with Toshiya Ono handling series composition, and Kazuaki Shimada serving as character designer and animation director.
