About The Proposal

The Proposal is a romantic comedy film released in 2009. It revolves around a Canadian executive, Margaret Tate (played by Sandra Bullock) who learns that she may face deportation from the United States because of her expired visa status. She convinces her assistant, Andrew Paxton (played by Ryan Reynolds), to pretend to be engaged to her. The couple travels to Alaska to meet Andrew's eccentric family where the city girl finds herself in an increasingly bewildering and hilarious set of situations. As the weekend progresses, Margaret and Andrew begin to realize that their business accord might just turn out to be genuine love.
