About Resident Evil: Retribution

Resident Evil: Retribution is the fifth installment in the Resident Evil film series, based on the video game series of the same name. Released in 2012, the film picks up immediately after the events of Resident Evil: Afterlife. Alice (Milla Jovovich) is captured by the Umbrella Corporation, forcing her to make her escape from an underwater facility used for testing the T-virus. The plot incorporates elements from several games in the Resident Evil video game series with several characters and creatures making appearances.

Making / Production

Under the direction of Paul W. S. Anderson, Resident Evil: Retribution took the series in a new direction by incorporating more elements from the video games. It was filmed in 3D using the same cameras that were used to shoot Avatar, introducing a new level of visual effects and depth to the action.

Actors

• Milla Jovovich as Alice. She continues her fight against the Umbrella Corporation and gave an exemplary performance of a strong and determined survivor
• Sienna Guillory as Jill Valentine. Guillory reprised her role from the second film, providing a solid performance as Alice's antagonist
• Michelle Rodriguez as Rain Ocampo. Rodriguez returns from the first film playing a double-role, receiving critical acclaim for bringing energy and toughness to her roles
