"Revolution Rent," directed by Andy Señor Jr. and Victor Patrick Alvarez, is a documentary that tells the story of Andy Señor Jr.'s journey to bring the Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical "Rent" to his parents' home country, Cuba. The documentary follows the production of "Rent," the national tour in Havana, and the first Broadway musical produced by an American company in Cuba in more than 50 years. It’s a poignant look into the creative process and unique challenges faced while producing the show in a country recovering from decades of political and economic turmoil.
