The film, released in 2018, is a rendition of the classic Robin Hood tale with a modern twist. It follows Robin of Loxley (Taron Egerton), a war-hardened crusader and his Moorish commander, Little John (Jamie Foxx). They mount an audacious revolt against the corrupt English crown in an exciting adventure packed with gritty battlefield exploits, mind-blowing fight choreography, and timeless romance.

Making / Production

Directed by Otto Bathurst and produced by Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Davisson, Basil Iwanyk, it took around five years to take Robin Hood from concept to screen. The movie was shot at different locations in France, Hungary, and Croatia.

Actors

• Taron Egerton plays Robin of Loxley (Robin Hood). He gives an impressive performance, displaying agility and charisma in equal measure.
• Jamie Foxx portrays Little John, Robin's ally from the Moorish army. Foxx brings gravitas mixed with a sense of humor to his character.
