A hilarious spoof of the classic Robin Hood tale, directed by Mel Brooks, 'Robin Hood: Men in Tights' was released in 1993. The film parodies both the 1938 film 'The Adventures of Robin Hood' and the 1991 film 'Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves'. Robin Hood, played by Cary Elwes, leads a band of merry men in their quest to protect the less fortunate from the corruption of Prince John and the Sheriff of Rottingham.
