About RoboCop 3

RoboCop 3, released in 1993, is a sci-fi action movie that is a sequel to RoboCop 2. The movie takes place in a dystopian Detroit where a mega-corporation aims to build a high-end utopia called Delta City, and in order to do so, they hire a paramilitary force to evacuate the residents. The titular hero, RoboCop, ends up allying with a group of rebels to take down the corporation. The movie is known for introducing elements such as a jetpack and a samurai android.

Making / Production

RoboCop 3 was directed by Fred Dekker and written by Frank Miller and Dekker. It turned out to be the least successful of the original RoboCop series, being made on a lower budget than its predecessors and showcasing less violence.

Actors

  • Robert John Burke played the role of RoboCop/Alex Murphy. His performance was consistent with the previous portrayal, though he brought his own uniqueness.
  • Nancy Allen as Officer Anne Lewis continues to support RoboCop both in his missions and in his struggles with his identity.
