About Robots
Robots(released in 2005) is a computer-animated science fiction comedy film. The plot is set in a world populated by anthropomorphic machines. Rodney Copperbottom, a young genius inventor, aspires to make the world a better place for everyone. His journey takes him to Robot City, where he faces challenges and adventures that teach him valuable life lessons.
Making / Production
The film was produced by Blue Sky Studios and distributed by 20th Century Fox. Carlos Saldanha and Chris Wedge co-directed the movie, with the screenplay written by Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel. The animation team used a unique rendering technique that provided the film distinct metallic and glossy textures.
