About Rocket Science
"Rocket Science" is a 2007 American comedy-drama film directed by Jeffrey Blitz. The film follows the character of Hal Hefner (Reece Thompson), a teenager with a minor stuttering problem but with intelligence and ingenuity. Hal joins his school's debate team when the driven Ginny Ryerson (Anna Kendrick) convinces him that his stuttering will not be a problem, but to the contrary, it becomes more pronounced, complicating their road to success in the world of competitive debating.
