"Scandal" is an American political thriller television series created by Shonda Rhimes, that aired on ABC from April 5, 2012, until April 19, 2018. The show follows Olivia Pope's crisis management firm, Pope & Associates, and its staff, as well as the staff at the White House in Washington, D.C. Olivia Pope, a former White House Communications Director, starts her own crisis management firm. However, she soon realizes that her clients aren’t the only ones with secrets.

Scandal was created by Shonda Rhimes, who also serves as executive producer, alongside Betsy Beers and Mark Fish. The show was set in Washington, D.C. but filmed in Los Angeles. Every episode features a case that serves as the backdrop to the personal dramas of Olivia Pope and her team.
