Scream 3 is an American serial killer film directed by Wes Craven and written by Ehren Kruger. It was released in the year 2000 as the third installment in the Scream franchise. The plot brings back the Ghostface Killer tormenting Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) and her friends, this time on the set of "Stab 3," a movie within the movie that is based on the Ghostface Killers themselves.

Making / Production

The film was produced by Cathy Konrad and Marianne Maddalena, under the Dimension Films label. Scream 3 was shot in Los Angeles, California with memorable locations like the Hollywood Hills and the historic Rialto Theatre in South Pasadena. Ehren Kruger was brought on as the screenwriter, taking over for Kevin Williamson who penned the first two entries in the series.
