About Secret of The Wings

Secret of The Wings is an animated movie released in 2012. The movie is the fourth installment in the Disney Fairies franchise, directed by Peggy Holmes and Bobs Gannaway. It tells the adventurous story of Tinker Bell, a winter fairy who longs to visit the Winter Woods. A rule that prohibits warm fairies from crossing the border into the winter world and vice versa, doesn't stop Tinker Bell from traveling and discovering a secret that will change her life forever.

Making / Production

The film was produced by DisneyToon Studios and directed by Bobs Gannaway and Peggy Holmes. This film marked the first time that DisneyToon Studios used stereoscopic 3D animation which was implemented to enhance the visual experience of the Winter Woods.

Actors

• Mae Whitman as Tinker Bell - Whitman wonderfully gives voice to the adventurous Tinker Bell. She successfully captures the spirit and curiosity of the character.
• Lucy Hale as Periwinkle - Hale plays Tinker Bell's long-lost sister who resides in the Winter Woods. She does a great job portraying the warmth of the character.
• Timothy Dalton as Lord Milori - Dalton voices the leader of the Winter fairies who has a mysterious past.
• Anjelica Huston as Queen Clarion - Huston brings authority and grace to the character, the Queen of Pixie Hollow.

Trivia / Interesting Facts

• This is the first Tinker Bell movie to use the Pixie Hollow logo.
• The film was the first in the series to feature snow and ice themes.
• Despite being a major character, Iridessa has no speaking lines in the North American version of the movie.
