About Serena

'Serena' is a gripping drama set in the 1930s Depression-Era North Carolina. Adapted from the novel by Ron Rash, the film follows newlyweds George and Serena Pemberton in their ruthless pursuit of power and success in the timber industry. Their ambition is met with dangerous obstacles, secretive pasts and deadly implications when Serena discovers she cannot bear children.
