"Shakugan no Shana" is a Japanese anime series produced by the animation studio J.C.Staff. First aired in October 2005, the series is based on the light novel of the same name written by Yashichiro Takahashi. The plot revolves around Yuji Sakai, a high school student whose world turns upside down when he discovers he's already dead and his existence is merely a facade to cover the chaos triggered by his death. The story follows his journey as he navigates this strange new world, aided by a fiery-haired, sword-wielding girl named Shana.
