Skyrunners is an adventurous science fiction film, released in 2009, directed by Ralph Hemecker. The plot revolves around the lives of two brothers - Tyler and Nick Burns. Their standard life heads towards an exciting turn when they discover a spaceship that has crashed. Along with the mysterious and thrilling twists, the film also navigates through themes of relationship between the brothers, growing up, and responsibility.

The film was produced under the banner of XYZ productions and it was entirely shot in New Zealand. The visual effects and alien designs were done by Weta Workshop, a company well known for working in films like 'The Lord of the Rings' and 'Avatar'.
