About the Smurfs
The Smurfs is a popular animated television series, which aired between 1981 and 1989, based on the comic series of the same name created by Belgian artist Peyo. The series centers around a group of small blue creatures, the Smurfs, who live in a hidden village in the forest and often have to outsmart the evil wizard Gargamel who is intent on capturing them.
