Snowdrop (2021)

Set in the turbulent era of South Korea in 1987, Snowdrop is an enthralling TV series centralized around a romantic yet politically charged tale of two protagonists: Soo-ho, a mysterious man who seeks refuge in a women's university dormitory in Seoul, and Yeong-ro, a compassionate young woman who falls head over heels for Soo-ho.

About Snowdrop

During one fateful night, Soo-ho, severely injured and bloodied, manages to infiltrate the dormitory and crosses path with Yeong-ro, who had previously met him on a group blind date. Under the scrutiny of intense surveillance, Yeong-ro daringly tends to his wounds. As the story unfolds, secrets from Soo-ho's tumultuous past start surfacing, making him confront the daunting reality of sacrificing his love for Yeong-ro or departing from his responsibilities towards his comrades and his waiting sibling back home. The fate of their destiny becomes intertwined with the political landscape of the time.

Snowdrop is the brainchild of writer Yoo Hyun-mi and director Jo Hyun-tak, the celebrated duo behind the popular Korean TV series Sky Castle.
