About Soul Eater

Soul Eater is a popular animated television series based on the manga by Atsushi Ōkubo. The show, released in 2008, revolves around students at a school for weapon wielders and the human weapons they wield. Each team aims to have their weapon consume 99 evil human souls and the soul of a witch in order to become a "Death Scythe," a weapon fit for the Grim Reaper.
