"Spider-Man™ 3", released in 2007, is the third installment of Sam Raimi's Spider-Man series, based on Marvel Comics' character Spider-Man. The plot revolves around Peter Parker's struggle to manage both his personal life and his duties as Spider-Man. He must confront new villains, the Sandman and Venom, while navigating his complicated relationships with Mary Jane Watson and his best friend Harry Osborn.

Making / Production

Directed by Sam Raimi, this film was produced by Avi Arad, Grant Curtis and Laura Ziskin. The screenplay was written by Sam Raimi, Ivan Raimi, and Alvin Sargent. The production also marked a change in costume designs which were re-designed to look more textured and dramatic in high-definition.

• Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker / Spider-Man: Tobey once again portrayed the web-slinging hero with aplomb, juggling the complexities of a normal life and that of a superhero.
• Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane Watson: Kirsten reprised her role as Mary Jane, providing a complementing performance that progresses their on-screen relationship dynamics.
• James Franco as Harry Osborn / New Goblin: James Franco portrays the vengeful son of Norman Osborn, making the transition from Peter’s best friend to his enemy.
• Thomas Haden Church as Flint Marko / Sandman: Church debuts in the series as the unwilling villain Sandman, bringing additional depth to the antagonistic role.
