The TV Series Star is an American musical drama television series created by Lee Daniels and Tom Donaghy for Fox. The series revolves around Star Davis, a young woman who forms a musical trio with her sister, Simone, and their best friend, Alexandra. The series narrates their journey from being aspirational musicians to eventually rising as stars in the music industry. The trio moves to Atlanta where Star and Simone's godmother, Carlotta, gives them an opportunity to fulfill their dreams.
