About Succession

Succession is an American television series that premiered on HBO on June 3, 2018. The series centers on the Roy family, the dysfunctional owners of Waystar RoyCo, a global media and hospitality empire. The plot focuses on the family's drama as they fight for control amongst themselves upon the health decline of their family patriarch, Logan Roy.

Succession was created by Jesse Armstrong. The show's executive producers include Armstrong, Adam McKay, Frank Rich, Kevin Messick, and Will Ferrell. McKay also directed the pilot episode. Filming locations include New York City, Dundee and other parts of Scotland.
