Superman Returns, released in 2006, is a superhero film directed and produced by Bryan Singer. The plot of the movie revolves around the return of Superman after a long absence, only to find his love interest Lois Lane has moved on with her life. Simultaneously, Lex Luthor is hatching a deadly scheme that will destroy Superman and America.

Using cutting edge technology for its time, Superman Returns was one of the first films to use the Genesis camera for its visual effects.
