About Thor: The Dark World

Released in 2013, Thor: The Dark World is an action-filled superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Thor. The plot revolves around Thor teaming up with Loki to save the Nine Realms from the Dark Elves led by the vengeful Malekith, who intends to plunge the universe into darkness. Thor must embark on his most hazardous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

Making / Production

Directed by Alan Taylor, the production of Thor: The Dark World began in London in 2012. This film was produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is the sequel to 2011's Thor and the eighth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Actors
