The Three Caballeros is a 1945 American live-action animated musical film produced by Walt Disney Productions. The film revolves around Donald Duck who is celebrating his birthday and opens gifts from his Latin American friends. These gifts launch a collection of Latin American vignettes filled with music, dance, and whimsy. It was one of the earlier examples of combining live-action with animation.

Making / Production

The film was directed by Norman Ferguson. It took four years to finalize the production. The production crew included prominent Disney animators, editors, and designers. The film was originated during Disney's goodwill tour of South America, decided as part of the Good Neighbor policy during World War II.
