About
Thunder Force is set in a world where super-villains are commonplace, and two childhood best friends, Lydia Berman (Melissa McCarthy) and Emily Stanton (Octavia Spencer), take very different paths in life. Emily, a genius scientist, dedicates herself to finding a way to give regular people superpowers to fight against these villains, while Lydia becomes a blue-collar woman struggling to make ends meet.
Years later, Emily develops a formula that grants superhuman abilities and accidentally empowers Lydia, making her the first-ever superhero with no actual powers. Together, they become “Thunder Force” and set out to protect the city from "The King", a powerful super-villain played by Bobby Cannavale. Along the way, they face numerous challenges, uncovering secrets and testing their friendship.
