About Tokyo Ravens
Tokyo Ravens is an engaging supernatural series full of magic, action, and drama. Based on the light novel written by Kōhei Azano, it was adapted to an animated series which aired from October 2013 till March 2014.
The series primarily revolves around Tsuchimikado Harutora, a member of an ancient clan who can manipulate spiritual energy. Though he was born without these abilities, his life takes an unexpected turn when his childhood friend, a powerful mystic, sacrifices herself to save him and gives him her abilities. This begins Harutora's exciting journey to become a spirit seer and honour his friend's wishes.
Making / Production
Animation studio Eight Bit and director Takaomi Kanasaki are the forces behind bringing Tokyo Ravens to the small screen. The screenplay was adapted by Hideyuki Kurata, who successfully captured the essence of the original light novel series. The show's producers are GA Bunko, Bushiroad, and the Tokyo MX station.
