About Treasure Island

Treasure Island is a 1950 live-action adventure film produced by Walt Disney Productions and adapted from the 1883 novel by Robert Louis Stevenson. The film is a coming-of-age story about the young boy Jim Hawkins who joins a ship's journey, led by Captain Smollett, to discover a pirate's lost treasure located on the eponymous Island. However, the ship's cook Long John Silver plays the villain with his intentions to overpower everyone to claim the treasure; a betrayal which results in thrilling battles.
