"Tréme" is an American television drama that was aired on HBO from 2010 to 2013. The series was created by David Simon and Eric Overmyer that explores the lives of residents in the Treme neighborhood of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. The story is about them rebuilding their lives, their homes and their unique culture in the aftermath of the hurricane.

Making / Production

The brainchild of David Simon and Eric Overmyer, "Treme" was shot on location in New Orleans. The production had to deal with numerous logistical challenges, not least of which was shooting in a city still recovering from a devastating hurricane. Simon and Overmyer recruited local writers and consultants to ensure the authenticity of the series.
