About Once Upon a Time

Once Upon a Time is a fairy-tale drama TV series that premiered in 2011 and ran until 2018, crossing seven seasons and 155 episodes. Created by Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis, the plot centers around the character of Emma Swan, who's drawn into the town of Storybrooke, Maine, a place where magic has been forgotten, but is still ever present. Here, fairy-tale characters are stuck in the modern world with no recollection of their original identities.

Making / Production

The show was filmed primarily in Vancouver, British Columbia. Attention was paid to bringing out the magic-inspiring settings in a realistic manner in Storybrooke. The show also made use of flashbacks to the enchanted forest or other magical worlds to flesh out the characters and their stories.

Actors

The series won many awards including the TV Guide Award for Favorite New Series in 2011. Lana Parrilla who played Evil Queen also won the Teen Choice Award for Best TV Actress in a Fantasy/Sci-Fi Series.
