Utopia Falls is a Canadian drama television series that premiered on CBC Television and Hulu on February 14, 2020. The show is an amalgamation of genres, seamlessly blending elements of dystopian science fiction and musical drama. Set in the distant future, amidst the ruins of a collapsed Earth, humanity resides in a city called New Babyl. Each year, the city hosts a competitive performance art event known as The Exemplar. The story centres on a group of teens chosen for The Exemplar who stumble upon an ancient forbidden archive of historical, cultural and musical relics, thus igniting a rebellion.
