About V/H/S 2

V/H/S 2 (2014) is an anthology horror film sequel to V/H/S. The plot follows two private investigators who are looking into a missing student's case when they stumble upon a collection of mysterious VHS tapes. Each tape they watch reveals increasingly horrifying scenes, leaving them more disturbed and terrified. Every tape is actually a short film directed by different directors, making V/H/S 2 a unique mix of individual horror narratives melding into one chilling anthology.

Making / Production

The movie is produced by Bloody Disgusting's Brad Miska. It features various directors, including Simon Barrett, Adam Wingard, Edúardo Sanchez, Gregg Hale, Timo Tjahjanto, Gareth Huw Evans, and Jason Eisener, each of whom directs a segment of the film.

Actors

  • Kelsy Abbott as Ayesha - Ayesha is one of the private investigators. Abbott crafts her role convincingly playing a character progressively descending into fear and dread.
  • Hannah Al Rashid as Lena - Lena delivers a terrifying performance and keeps the audience on edge throughout her segment.
  • Fachry Albar as Adam - Albar's role as Adam is an essential part of a segment where he portrays a man unwillingly becoming part of horrific events.
  • Oka Antara as Malik - Malik is a central character in one of the tapes’ story. Antara's acting brilliantly conveys the horrifying experiences his character goes through.

Trivia / Interesting Facts

  • The movie was originally titled S-VHS, but was later renamed to V/H/S 2.
  • Despite its title, it doesn't involve any actual VHS tapes. The idea is purely conceptual relating to homemade video-based horror.
