About V/H/S Viral

'V/H/S Viral' is a 2014 American anthology horror film which is the third and final installment in the V/H/S trilogy. The film is centered around a Los Angeles police chase that goes viral, capturing the attention of the city. While the footage circulates around the internet, a series of tapes are discovered, each containing increasingly bizarre and terrifying tales of horror.

Making/Production

V/H/S Viral was produced by Gary Binkow and Brad Miska. It is a continuation of the 'found-footage' theme that the previous V/H/S films are renowned for. This film is unique in having a series of directors each taking responsibility for one of the anthology's individual segments.

Actors

  • Patrick Lawrie played the role of Larry. His character is in constant pursuit of the police chase and he played the role with sincere fear and confusion.
  • Emilia Zoryan played the part of Iris, a protagonist of one of the tapes. Her portrayal of a curious but unfortunate victim was commendable.
  • Justin Welborn appeared as Dante the Great, a magician gone rogue. He challenged and engaged the audience with his intense portrayal.

Trivia/Interesting Facts

  • Many of the tales in this film take on a significantly more demonic, supernatural tone than the previous installments.
  • The creators of the film relied heavily upon practical effects rather than digital, adding to the chillingly authentic feel.
  • This was the first film in the series to not feature Adam Wingard as a director.

Quotes

  • "Something's wrong with that tape."
  • "I am the magic."
  • "Never open it. Never look."

Music, Soundtrack

  • 'V/H/S Viral' doesn't contain a single official soundtrack, instead it relies heavily on ambient and horror-related sounds to create tension.
