About WandaVision

WandaVision is a 2021 American television miniseries created by Jac Schaeffer for the streaming service Disney+, based on the Marvel Comics characters Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch and Vision. Set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), it shares continuity with the films of the franchise and takes place after the events of the film Avengers: Endgame (2019). The series is a blend of classic television and the MCU in which Wanda and Vision—two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.

Making / Production

The show was formally announced in April 2019, with Jac Schaeffer hired as the head writer and Matt Shakman directed the series. Filming began in Atlanta, Georgia in November 2019, before production halted in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Production resumed in Los Angeles in September 2020 and was completed a month later.
