Warm Bodies is a 2013 American paranormal romantic movie. It is based on Isaac Marion's novel of the same name. Directed and written by Jonathan Levine, the film offers a fresh twist on the traditional zombie genre. The intricate plot focuses on the relationship between Julie, a human survivor, and "R" (played by Nicholas Hoult), who is a zombie. As their relationship develops, R begins to regain his human characteristics. This unusual love story eventually evolves into a tale of hope as other zombies also start showing signs of humanity.

Making / Production

The film produced by Mandeville Films was shot in Montreal, Quebec. The director, Jonathan Levine, incorporated humor and romance into the bleak zombie landscape, making the film a genre hybrid. Warm Bodies was released by Summit Entertainment on February 1, 2013.

Actors

• Nicholas Hoult played the main character, "R". He excellently portrayed a zombie who rediscovers his humanity.
