About

We Can Be Heroes is a 2020 American family superhero film written, directed, and produced by Robert Rodriguez. The movie is a stand-alone sequel to The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D. Set in the same universe, the movie follows a group of children with special abilities who must save their superhero parents and the world from alien invaders. The plot revolves around these kids, known as the Heroics, who are left to fend for themselves after their parents, who are Earth's superheroes, are kidnapped by alien invaders. The younger heroes train and work together to harness their powers and rescue their parents while learning the importance of teamwork and bravery.
