About We're Here

We're Here is an American reality television series that premiered on HBO on April 23, 2020. The show takes a unique twist on reality television as it features former RuPaul’s Drag Race contestants Bob the Drag Queen, Eureka O’Hara, and Shangela traveling to small, conservative towns across America to recruit, train and mentor locals to participate in one-night-only drag performances. The energetic and colorful drag queens uplift the lives of individuals, reveal the untapped talent and community support that exists even in these unlikely areas. Time and time again, the show delivers a heartening affirmation of the potent confidence and resilient joy drag brings to any place.

Making / Production

We’re Here is a production of IPC Television. The show’s co-creators and executive producers include Johnnie Ingram and Stephen Warren, who have collectively worked on projects such as Queer Eye and Skin Wars. The stylistic elements juxtapose the flamboyantly colorful world of drag with the often quieter hues of rural America, resulting in a visually enriching contrast that conveys the deep transformations in this journey.
