'What's Wrong With Secretary Kim' is a light-hearted Korean drama that was broadcasted in 2018 on the tvN network. Based on a popular webtoon, the series weaves a funny, romantic story around its lead characters, narcissistic vice-president of a company Lee Young-Joon, and his reliable secretary Kim Mi-so who resigns her job after working with him for nine years.

Making / Production

The series is directed by Park Joon-Hwa, produced by Bon Factory and is based on the novel of the same name by Jung Kyung-Yoon. The script was written by Jung Eun-Young. It received critical acclaim for its screenplay, direction and the performance of the leads.

Actors

• Actor Park Seo-Joon plays the role of the self-absorbed, yet charming Lee Young-Joon. He perfectly portrays Young-Joon's growth from a narcissistic executive to a caring lover.
• Kim Mi-so is played by actor Park Min-Young. She portrays the dedicated and patient secretary with grace and subtlety, and her romantic chemistry with Park Seo-Joon is a delight to watch.
• Lee Tae-Hwan takes on the role of Lee Sung-Yeon, Young-Joon's older brother, who is a famous author and has a one-sided affection for Mi-so.

• In a surprising twist, in reality, Park Seo-Joon is older than Lee Tae-Hwan by two years, even though in the series, Lee's character is supposed to be older.
• The series is based on the popular digital comic novel 'Secretary Kim,' which was serialized on the KakaoPage platform from 2013 to 2016.
• This is the third time that Park Seo-Joon and Hwang Chan-Sung have been in the same drama. The first two being 'Kill Me, Heal Me,' and 'She Was Pretty.'
