About Witchblade

Witchblade is a gripping supernatural, action and drama, animated television series that aired in 2006. The plot revolves around a young woman named Masane Amaha, who becomes the bearer of the Witchblade, an ancient weapon with immense destructive power. On top of trying to control its powers properly, Masane also has to protect her daughter, Rihoko, and uncover the secrets behind the Witchblade's origin.

Making / Production

This series is a Studio GONZO production, directed by Yoshimitsu Ohashi and written by Yasuko Kobayashi, with character designs by Uno Makoto. The show spans 24 episodes and was originally broadcast on TBS in Japan before being dubbed in English by Funimation.
