About The X-Files

'The X-Files' is a classic American science fiction drama television series created by Chris Carter. The series follows FBI special agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) who investigate X-Files: marginalized, unsolved cases involving paranormal phenomena. The show combines elements of horror, thriller, mystery, and occasionally comedy, to create its unique storytelling voice that captivated audiences worldwide.

Making / Production

Chris Carter is the Brilliant mind behind the creation and production of the series. The show was primarily filmed in Vancouver, Canada for the first five seasons, but filming was moved to Los Angeles, California for the remaining seasons, due to constraints with the Vancouver weather and personal reasons of some actors. The series was produced by 20th Television and Ten Thirteen Productions.
