About X-Men: Days of Future Past

X-Men: Days of Future Past is a 2014 American superhero film directed by Bryan Singer and written by Simon Kinberg from a story by Kinberg, Jane Goldman, and Matthew Vaughn. It is a sequel to 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand and 2011's X-Men: First Class and the seventh installment in the X-Men film series. The plot is based on the 1981 Uncanny X-Men storyline "Days of Future Past" by Chris Claremont and John Byrne. It follows an alternate future in which mutants are exterminated by Sentinels, robots programmed to target them. Wolverine is sent back in time to 1973 to prevent this dystopian future from happening.
