"The Young Black Stallion" is a prequel to the 1979 classic "The Black Stallion". This heartwarming film, directed by Simon Wincer and released in 2003, follows the adventures of a young girl named Neera and her horse, named Shetan, which is a direct translation of 'Black Devil', in the desert. The story revolves around Neera who gets lost in the desert and is aided to find her way back home by a wild black colt. Upon arriving home, she works on getting Shetan to race against the finest Arabian horses in a dramatic race for survival and honour.
