About Young Sheldon
"Young Sheldon" is an American comedy television series that began airing in 2017. The show is a spin-off prequel to "The Big Bang Theory" and begins with the childhood of Sheldon Cooper, the eccentric and extraordinarily gifted protagonist, in East Texas where his family struggles to cope with his exceptional intellectual abilities and social ineptitude. The show provides a humorous look into Sheldon's early life, his family dynamics and the interesting situations that arise when a child has the mind of a genius but lacks social skills.

"Young Sheldon" is created by Chuck Lorre and Steven Molaro, who also serve as executive producers along with Jim Parsons (who plays adult Sheldon in "The Big Bang Theory") and Todd Spiewak.
