About Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's

Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's is a spin-off of the original Yu-Gi-Oh! series, set many years in the future in the sprawling, futuristic city of Neo Domino City. This animated series revolves around the story of Yusei Fudo, a stoic and talented duelist who resides in Satellite, a grimy and downtrodden part of the city. He duels with opponents on fast-paced motorcycles known as “Duel Runners” in Turbo Duels. The show embraces themes of friendship, determination, overcoming odds, and the eternal battle between good and evil.

Directed by Katsumi Ono, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's is produced by Nihon Ad Systems and TV Tokyo. It's the second main spin-off series which aired for a total of 154 episodes from 2008 to 2011, making it the longest-running Yu-Gi-Oh spin-off.

Actors

• Yusei Fudo - Voiced by Greg Abbey, Yusei is the main protagonist. He is known for his ability to analyze his opponents and their strategies, leading to many victories. He typically plays it cool and collected, often serving as the stabilizing factor for his team.
• Jack Atlas - Voiced by Ted Lewis, Jack is Yusei's rival and friend. Known for his pompous nature and unyielding spirit, Jack brings a great deal of humor and conflict to the series.
• Akiza Izinski - Voiced by Bella Hudson, Akiza is one of the main female leads. Her character experiences significant growth throughout the series as she transitions from a powerful antagonist to a vital ally.
• Crow Hogan - Voiced by Tom Wayland, Crow is a loyal friend and fellow duelist. He utilizes a "Blackwing" deck.

• The "5D's" in the series' title stands for the five main aspects of the series: Duels, Dreams, Destiny, Darkness, and Dragons.
• Yusei's birthmark is in the shape of the head of the Crimson Dragon.
• All of the main characters have a "Signer" card, which are all unique Dragon-type Synchro Monsters.
• This was the first Yu-Gi-Oh series to include the concept of Synchro Summoning, a new game mechanic at the time.
