About Yu Yu Hakusho
Yu Yu Hakusho is a popular Japanese anime series, released in 1992, based on the manga series of the same name by Yoshihiro Togashi. It revolves around the story of a teenage delinquent, Yusuke Urameshi, who gets killed while saving a child's life. Given a chance to regain his life, he serves as an underworld detective fighting demons in the human world.
Making / Production
Yu Yu Hakusho was produced by Fuji TV, Yomiko Advertising, and Studio Pierrot. It was directed by Noriyuki Abe and co-produced by Ken Hagino. The series contains 112 episodes which aired from October 1992 till January 1995.
Actors
- Nozomu Sasaki as Yusuke Urameshi. He excellently portrayed Yusuke's journey from a stubborn and rebellious teenager to a responsible demon hunter.
- Shigeru Chiba as Kuwabara. His portrayal of the rough yet loyal friend added humor and depth to the series.
- Megumi Ogata as Kurama. Her performance as the cunning and elegant Kurama made the character a fan favorite.
- Nobuyuki Hiyama as Hiei. His sharp voice acting skills perfectly suited for the ruthless yet sometimes empathetic demon Hiei.

- Yu Yu Hakusho was initially supposed to run for 25 episodes, but its immense popularity led to its extension to 112 episodes.
- The title of the series, "Yu Yu Hakusho," roughly translates to "Ghost Files" or "Poltergeist Report."
