About Z-O-M-B-I-E-S

Released in 2018, Z-O-M-B-I-E-S is an American musical and dance Disney Channel Original Movie that revolves around the integration of zombie and human students in the fictional town of Seabrook.

In the town of Seabrook, a semi-isolated suburban community, a freak accident during a power plant meltdown caused half the population to turn into brain-eating zombies. Fifty years later the government invents a collar that allows zombies to live among humans. The story starts when zombie football player Zed and human cheerleader Addison meet and fall in love, creating tension between the two different communities.

The film was directed by Paul Hoen. The screenplay was done by David Light and Joseph Raso. Produced by Mary Pantelois, the film features original music by George S. Clinton.

Actors

  • Milo Manheim as Zed: A kind-hearted and smart zombie football player who dreams of a better life outside of Zombietown. He played his role magnificently, portraying both his character's love for football and for Addison.
  • Meg Donnelly as Addison: A cheerleader who dreams of being a journalist and capturing the world's truth. She played her cheerful and ideal embrace of differences excellently.
  • Trevor Tordjman as Bucky: Addison's cousin and the cruel, selfish cheer captain. Trevor perfectly embodied his character's narcissistic and antagonistic tendencies.
  • Kylee Russell as Eliza: Zed's wise, politically aware zombie best friend. Her portrayal of Eliza brought a mix of strength and brainy sass to thecharacter.

  • The movie was filmed in Toronto, Canada despite the plot being in the United States.
  • This was Disney Channel’s first movie to include zombies.
  • Even though the zombies' hair is green in the movie, the color of the hair dye the actors had to use was actually blue.
