About Black Knight
Black Knight is a 2001 American fantasy comedy film directed by Gil Junger. The movie revolves around Jamal Walker (played by Martin Lawrence) who, after stumbling into a moat at the Medieval World amusement park, is transported back to medieval England where he becomes involved in hilarious antics and adventures. He uses his knowledge of modern ways to outsmart the medieval folks and eventually becomes a hero in their midst.
Making / Production
The film was produced by Michael Green, Darryl Quarles, and Paul Schiff. Cinematography was handled by Ueli Steiger, with editing by Michael R. Miller. Wanting to offer a modern take on the medieval era, the team came up with the concept of a man from the modern world being thrown into the past and using his modern mindset to tackle ancient problems.
